Remember how Clinton ran against him for coddling the "butchers of Tianamen square"? Then a year later the Chinese were back to being "strategic partners" rather than "strategic rivals"? Same with W, same with BO. What we have here is not a political problem but a structural one. We are living beyond our means and borrowing to pay for it. We have undercut our industrial base in the name of cheap stuff at Wally World, and the bill is coming due. Does anyone of either party point his out?.......crickets. :-\

Not smugness.........and technically not disputing your post..... this crappy situation didn't just start, it's been on the pot cookin' for a long time.....even way before "Poppy Bush"...........crap just happens to roll down hill .............. and the hill is steep.

I just simply liked Bush better than BHO...........Nothing more, nothing less.
Just an unadulterated opinion.

They have ALL had their faults. Some more blatantly than others.
Anyone who thinks every president in office doesn't do business and make allies with questionable people behind closed doors, and beyond the public eye, is wearing a lollipop wrapper for a hat.

I was merely alluding to the fact that we, as a nation, are way off course......and Maximus Obamus (or anyone else in DC) is not even trying to steer us in the direction that we need to be heading.

Based on BHO's approval ratings tumbling since the coronation in Jan. Republicans are NOT the one's bringing his numbers down....

Democrat voters, and blue dog voters, independents, are getting a reality, OMG, what have I done moment.....

They would rather have had Hillary at this point, and the Anointed One hasn't even been in a year yet....

Blame the NYC committee that takes the app's for the Empire State Bldg.

They are "prostituting" themselves with no shame...

This crap didn't happen under Bush's admin though , did it???

I ain't making political points either. If McCain had won it would not have effected the problem. Someone posted a nice piece about Davy Crockett earlier that speaks to this. We find a problem, label it as urgent and only THEN ask whether we can afford it. That's the wrong order. First question is, how much do we have, then, what can we afford, THEN what do we do and in what order. Remarakably like real life. A wise prof said a govrnment budget is a list of priorities. It should be. Not anymore, now we put it on the visa and ignore the fact that China and the Gulf states own the bank. :P

BUT, history has shown, JFK, to Reagan, if you lower taxes, it INCREASES revenue and creates its own stimulus.

Dems will never suspend the corporate tax rate for a year, lower capital gains, cut out the "F"ing pork.

Republicans are just as bad because they are lost in a lost system, and it will take a voter initiated "Do Over" to get it in their elitist minds.

OR, it will take Thomas Jefferson's advice, and have another Revolution, pray for the former and not the latter....

Folks have had it, Congressional approval of BOTH parties are what, 8 to 20%?

They all suck.  No one in DC, thinks outside the box.

McCain says he's working behind the scenes to re-invent the Conservative Party, he's a dumb ass RINO that still doesn't get it.
It has nothing to do with his military service, or POW history, it is his "walking the fence" on critical political issues that are effecting us all, in a negative way... He was not my candidate of choice, and many real Conservatives either, but somehow the "game" got him to the top of the ticket....

It's a sham.

FQ, when you start pointing your finger why don't you go to the source of the Socialist infiltration of America's Govt.
