I once Read an old G&A Article that said Lewis & Clark had .54 caliber air rifles on their expedition. Bad part about it is, some states have laws against hunting things like deer with airguns.
AND Lewis carried not just an "air rifle" but an ASSAULT air rifle with repeat firing capabilities. This in 1803.The definitive expert on Lewis' air rifle is Bob Beemen, considered by many as the father of modern air gunning.http://www.beemans.net/lewis-assault-rifle.htmAlso note that there have been numerous custom made large calibers air guns before Eun Jin, Sam Yang, & ShinSung started commercially making big bores.I wouldn't mind having a BGMF Gargoyle in .452. With a hand pump and a lead bullet mold it would make a great long term survival gun.
But it didnt have a pistol grip or a bayonet and it did not have a CLIP larger then 10 rds, so its ok by liberal standards
One of these days I'm gonna CLIP your wings!
This time it actually was not an attempt to get you riled up...... It was simply the third portion of a four pronged jab at the ignorant gun grabbers. 1. Pistol grip2. Bayonet3. Limited capacity magazine4. Ignorantly designating a magazine as a clip
