I think the gsg5 would be great zombie zapper. I tend to only use cci mini mags it and with my mini red dot head shot are a snap. Zombies beware the gsg5 is coming.

Since this thread popped back up....an update.

My SIL just peddled his GSG-5 a few weeks ago on consignment after sending it back in for some warranty work.  He got tired of it and bought a NIB Remington 700 Bull barreled .308 instead.  I think he got rid of his Savage .243 as well so the Remy cost him zippo!

I don't know if my CMMG conversion is a Ciener, but it works crappy with bulk box Remington ammo.  A bit better with Federal and flawlessly with mini-mags.  Dollar wise, I wish it was the other way around.

My middle son has the GSG-5 and it's OK.  I like my conversion because I run an M4-2000 on the end and it's really quiet that way.

I have about 3,500 rounds through my gsg5 with out a hick up. I did have an issue with gsg mag made by promag but the OE mags work flawlessly.

Huh. We have a first anniversary edition GSG and haven't had any feeding issues ot screws loosening on it, and it has had about 300 rounds through it. There have been a couple jams but no more than my ruger.  Where can I get 2 rugers and a savage for 400 bucks?!?? Cause I am in need of a blued 10/22 for a new project rifle.

Good advice 2how. Even if its stupid its still the law. I read this on another site, and ATF is not noted for their sense of humor. I would hope existing models are granfathered in, but who knows? I would sure as hell find out before selling it on a site ike gunbroker or at a gun show. Its a stupid thing to get in trouble over. Oh wait, its not stupid at all. You see, if it looks like a suppressor people might think the bullets are quieter, thus making it effective.

I cant believe that anyone would think the can is fuctional. The only thing it does is cover up the barrel making it cooler looking.
