Does anyone actually believe the Chinese are going to loan us the money to give to the Saudis, when the Chinese, themselves, can get the rights to the oil that the West is not going to buy, for a greatly reduced price.

The Chinese don't give a rat's ass about "green jobs" or the evironment. They have been securing sources of oil for the last 4 or 5 years, and the latest Saudi whine plays right in to their (the Chinese) long range plans.

It is unfathomable that at $70 oil we're not drilling like crazy for oil....but we aren't.  The main reason is uncertainty concerning the liberal fascists running the country...the big boys in Houston are not willing to  plunk down the cash for the fear of losing it to BHO and his minions.

Heck Rastus,

As you know at $70 a barrel we should be all over oil sands and oil shale as well.  We have lots of both.

But as you say the current admin plus the always present enviro wackos make it just about impossible.  >:(

I say, if they want US aid, they must accept US Dollars, for both aid and oil. None of this basket of currency crap I've been hearing about.

I don't want any aid for them like the rest of you guys, but this administration has made it clear that the people's opinion is not correct or well-informed. If this administration wants to bail out the Saudis, then they should make sure oil purchases are soley conducted with dollars. JMHO.

I say lets keep using their oil as long as their profits are going down and their oil is cheep.
Help to bankrupt them and deplete as much of their oil as we can while keeping our own oil reserves as high as possible.
While at the same time we are getting all our rigs in place and pumping just enough to keep the prices down.
Then when they either try jacking up the price, cutting the amount they are going to pump or until they really are in financial trouble.
Then start pumping our own oil like its water, tell them to pound sand and not give them another penny after that.
Then watch them starve and have to sell off all of their investments/holdings to China and melt down their gold toilets just to be able to buy food.  ;D
