Most anti-gun administration?! (episode 129)

Michael made a comment about how, during all those republican years, we didn't get any pro-gun legislation passed, but now during the most anti-gun administration, we are making progress.  It just struck me because, wouldn't we agree that the Clinton administration was the most anti-gun?!  After all, didn't he give us the AWB?!

In reality, the current administration hasn't done anything, yet.  Sometimes I wonder if certain factions just want us to be scared!  I heard a Wall Street reporter recently (on the ProArms podcast) talk about this phenomenon.  You've got the NRA and pro-gun organizations on one side and the anti-gunners on the other and their whole goal is to polarize people.  It was also to the gun industry's advantage for everyone to be afraid of what Obama would do, wasn't it?!

Michaels comments seemed a bit off to me.   Aside from signing the "Protection Of Lawful Commerce In Arms Act"  Bush nominated both Roberts and Alito for the supreme court.  Given "D.C. v. Heller" and the current "McDonald v. Chicago"  These nominations were significant.  Compare this to Sotomayor, nominated by Obama and supported by all of the democrats, including the ones trying to get votes by claiming to be pro gun.  I would have liked to see a lot more happen for the pro gun cause during the eight bush years, but compared to Gore or Kerry we are better off now.

 It isn't so much what they have DONE, as it is who they have surrounded themselves with, ALL of BO's appointments are anti's one (at least ) of his "czars" wants deer to be able to sue the hunter who kills them.
