thanks guys for your input! its not the mount being lose i just went all thru that today before i went out, tread locked and tightend every screw on it. sorry i didnt say it is a (54r),and ive been mostly been puttin 148gr thru it. i cleaned it last night took it apart and bore sighted it @ 50yds by lookin thru the barrel at a ribbon on a fense, lined the scope up to it ribbon. i goes out to day to try it agine, and the first shot @ 50yds witch should have been a foul shot was a bulls i but would it do it agine..............".NO" it goes 4" to the left, and runs a ten shot group and i could not get it to pull back over. finally i get it back over to the bulls eye,or 1/2" from bulls eye for three shots then it takes of agine in one direction or the other. after awhile i get it close agine,so i start tryin 100yd. i hang a clay pigon over my target, shot and im 8"low on one side or the other by this time ive went thru 40 rounds, and tiked off and out of 148s so i take a gallon jug of water out to 200yd come back and stick some 171s in it take three shots after barrel cooled bown a little.i aimed at the top of the jug and hit all three times in the very bottom left.now the only thing i can fig. to do is try and get one of those mounts that will put the scope right over the barrel, and not off to the side like the commies have it.like i said this has been a on going prob for a long time, like i think 12 years or more.i get fed up with fighting with it,then ill just put it away for a year or so then ill get it out and try it agine for a week or so. ill get that mount, and try that if it dont work, guess ill try and find a gun smith that can fight with it. thanks agine guys
