FNH 9 or a LCR w/ or w/o Crimson Trace
« on: October 13, 2009, 09:43:25 PM »
I figured I would put this up for a vote to see what the great washed/unwashed DRTV forum folks thought would  be good for my next purchase.  Both will end up in the stable eventually, but I just wanted to see what people thought and why.

I like wheelguns so I'm going with the LCR.

And lasers are a good thing.

It wasn't an "if" it was a "when"...

On the one issue Eric and I consistenly agree on, go with the G26. There is zero excuse to look elswhere unless you want something super small like a kel-tec .32. The G26 shoots with or better than my G19 at sane SD ranges. I call this 15 yards and under, with no malfunctions, is moderately priced and isn't picky about ammo or maintainence. If you want a wheel gun, the LCR looks nice, but its new. My instinct (being conservative on guns if nothing else) would be to get a Smith J frame. You know it will work. Hell, your grandad knew it will work. Laser? I am debating that issue myself trying to decide between one and a tritium big dot front sight.

To actually answer your question:

Go with the FNH 9.  It is just a great shooter.  If it's for HD or CCW get the CT otherwise no.
When you do get the LCR I'd say the same thing about the CT at that time.
I think the laser is a waste of money on anything that you are not using for self defense.

I would get the FNH because it has more firepower.
