You're putting the man in a hard position. Its one thing to make reccomendations when you know folks will take them with a grain of salt. Its another when you know folks will believe what you say and apply it to life and death decisions. You are putting some pressure on the man.I don't know if he will answer or not. Me, I say this. there are a lot of good, mid-ranged guns out there. Glocks, Sigs, Springfields, kel-tecs (I don't like them but they work) etc. Find what you like. Go to a good range the rents guns. Drive a hundred miles if you have to and pay what it costs to rent a few. It will be time and money well spent. See what works for you,not just on target, but what you can stick in your pocket (my advice, pleated dockers chinos). Just get something you like that is from a quality manufacturer and in a common caliber like .45, 9mm, or .40 (I would avoid .380 due to ballistics and ammo availabilty, but its a valid choice). You can't go too far wrong. Me, I lke Glocks, the G26 in particular, but I'm just some yahoo on the net. If I were Rob, I'd probably  not even say that. BTW Welcome to the very dysfunctional family that is DRTV. More the Sopranos than the Bradys, but still a family. ;D

I think he has stated that the Best Defense forum is the only one he reads regularly so you might want to pose the question there.  I suspect that he will tell you what he used in the videos (probably multiple guns) and then be more elusive on preferences.

I would really like with the new season of The Best Defense and\or Shooting Gallery to have what the podcast has. A page with links to the products used and a maybe what Mr. Pincus, Mr. Bane, and Mr. Janich are carrying and shooting with on that episode. I know it would be a lot of work, maybe not links to ALL the products, but the major stuff, and just a list of the firearms they are using would be awesome.

I always pause and rewind the shows to try and figure out what firearm they are using. I just like to know what pros choose.
Did we win???

If I recall, he has said in the past that because of his travel schedule he often winds up just using whatever is provided.

Which, in a way, is a testament and endorsement of 'being versatile'....having the ability to adapt to using a variety of firearms proficiently.

"I expect perdition, I always have. I keep this building at my back, and several guns handy, in case perdition arrives in a form that's susceptible to bullets. I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible. To them nothing comes before the Constitution of these United States of America. For this we are all labeled potential terrorists. ~ Dean Garrison

I would think that the guys use 9mm's mostly on the TV shows because ammo is cheaper.
