Stephen Hunter Characters

I know many of us are fans of Stephen Hunter's series about Earl, and Bob Lee Swagger .
I also think many of us thought Mark Wallberg was a poor choice for the part of Bob Lee in "Shooter" (The movie version of "Point of Impact" )
Who would YOU cast in the recurring roles in his books ?
Since I just got done reading "Havana" I have some suggestions
Earl ; Billy Bob Thornton     http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000671/
Speshnev ;  Jean Reno     http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000606/
Walter "Frenchy" Short ;  Brad Pitt    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000093/

I'll probably add to this after I reread "Hot Springs"    ;D

You really think it's a good idea to have Angellina's current and ex both in the same movie?   ;D
I love waking up every morning knowing that Donald Trump is President!!

I wouldn't go if either was in the movie. Besides, the only thing I saw BBT in that he was halfway suited for was when he got bitch-slapped in Tombstone.

I haven't read the books yet so I will reserve comment as to who I would suggest.

I'm going to leave the casting to those that are better at it.  I do occasionally have an idea of who I would like to see in a role, but I'm not very good at it.  On the other hand, when I see a movie I can tell you if you did well or not.  Lonesome Dove is an example of perfect casting, in my opinion!  I read the book more than once before I watched the movie, and when I watched it I could tell you who each actor was playing before a word was said.

You cast them, and I'll tell you if you blew it  ;)
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.
