I'm pretty sure if your being charged by a bull elphant or hippo, a 577 trex is not big enough.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.

 J. D. Jones is why Thompson Center Arms came out with the Encore. He was making Contender barrels in monster calibers that were stretching Contender frames.
