J. D. Jones decided .577 wasn't big enough. He made a .950 caliber based on 20 mm artillery shells. The bullets weigh over 1/2 pound. The muzzle energy is 38,685 ft-lbs http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.950_JDJ
