Well not exactly. Buds has these on sale for $299.
http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/manufacturers_id/31/products_id/13283Smith & Wesson has the $50. mail in rebate (or 2 free extra mags) so we are talking $249. with free delivery, plus your FFL transfer fee. Now I know the Sigma gets a lot of bad raps because of the trigger and it is true it does pretty much suck right out of the box. But thanks to all the info over on the S&W forum I had those 2 extra springs that cause all the trouble out of the frame in about 10 minutes. I read that they had to be added to satisfy the Glock lawsuit and it's pretty obvious that they don't serve any purpose besides adding poundage to the trigger once you pull the pistol apart.
Speaking of disassembly, I couldn't believe how simple the Sigma is inside. There are very few parts and the quality is a helluva lot better than any other $249 pistol you might find, i.e. Keltec.
The trigger is now about 5 pounds and still kinda long with a longer reset, maybe like an XD. I could get another 1 or 2 pounds off it with the Wolf striker spring kit but you run the risk of light strikes on the primer.
I'll try to shoot it this week and compare to my Steyr and Glock 9mm's.
It's just gonna be the pistol I leave in my car in case I forget to grab my Steyr when I leave the house. Ya' know just a beater that I'm not gonna worry about. It actually does feel pretty good ergonomically though. Somewhere between a Steyr and a Glock. It is exactly the same size as my MA1's and weighs a fraction of an ounce less than my Glock 19 (w/o mags) on my digital scale.
Check one out if you get a chance, can't beat the price!
