Very sorry to hear that, Deepwater. I will say a special prayer for the family and loved ones.

My sincerest condolences.

Peg

I expect it will come in the disease form, though. I'm susceptible to diseases, and you can't shoot a damned disease." ~ Judge Roy Bean, Streets of Laredo

Deepwater, Glad to hear from you. VERY sorry that it is under these circumstances. Was this something from his Police days coming back to bite him ?
You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

thanks guys,
I'm still out at sea, in S. Korea now.
as for details, he was shot during a mugging. he was leaving his house to meet my wife and mother -in-law for a party and was shot right in front of the house. he did manage to shoot one of the two responsible, but I don't think he killed the bastard. he will be dearly missed. as for his police days.. he's been retired long enough that all the hoods he beat are old or dead and anyway they all respected him for the asswhipping he gave out to those that deserved it. survived a car bomb back in the Sendero Luminoso days and had to go out by some dirty, low bred hood.
