Health Care = Gun Control???

The on-again, off-again federal funding for research to link guns with disease, is - are you surprised? - on again.   This editorial ran last week in Investors Business Daily.  I've moved it to Gun Thoughts, with a comment or two of my own.

You can be sure if the 'public option' of health care is passed it won't be long until having guns will double or triple your premium!

I know that I am just echoing my and other's words, but this is how it will all happen.  Our Rights will be "ruled out" rather than legislated out.  If some agency can find a way to pass a rule it becomes insulated from the political scene, and it all happens in the dark ... Who was it that said that would not happen and that our gov would be transparent?

 I think we need to toss all the legislation and legal precedent of the last 200 years. As in improving your shooting skills we need to "go back to the basics", Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Federalist papers, and start over.
We should also make sure that our elected servants understand that THEY GOT THE JOB, they will not be fired for not passing BS legislation just for the sake of having something to do.

Personally when the "blue helmets" show up on my street I figure on picking off a few and bugging out so I can pick off a few more the next day on some one elses street.
