James Gadiel: “Murdered By Muslim Terrorists”; Father Wants That Truth On Memorial

Calendar October 28, 2009 | Posted by Shannon Bell

On September 11th, 2001 James Gadiel was working for Cantor Fitzgerald when he was killed by a high jacked airplane that flew into the North Tower of the World Trade Center. Eight years later a battle is brewing over a memorial in the young man’s hometown of Kent, Connecticut.

Seems that James Gadiel’s father Peter not only wants people to remember his son, he wants them to remember how he died. Peter wants the words “Murdered by Muslim Terrorists” inscribed on his son’s memorial. And of course the P.C. police are in full force. The Kent, Connecticut Town leaders won’t do it.

Peter Gadiel feels that the fact that those who died on 9/11 were killed by Muslim terrorists is something that is being suppressed in our society. I would tend to agree with Mr. Gadiel.

“I think it’s important, because I think there’s a nationwide effort to suppress the identity of the people who were involved in the attacks,” Gadiel told Fox News.

True, so true; but listen to the response of the Kent Town leadership. They call the phrase too controversial; (compared to blowing up buildings with airplanes?) One official said to Fox:

“We perceive ourselves as a very warm, loving town,” said Ruth Epstein, a Kent selectman and one of two town leaders to vote the plaque down. “To disparage any one ethnic group is just against everything that we stand for here.”

Yep, telling the absolute truth is “disparaging” to a certain ethnic group. Meaning that no matter what, political correctness rules the day. Never mind the truth. The brilliant town leader also said how awful it would be for the one Muslim family who lives in Kent to see such a thing. I’m sure almost as awful as it was for Peter Gadiel to see the Twin Towers collapse knowing his son was inside.

I hate to break it to the good folks of Kent, but you’ve got a bunch of cowards running your town.
The fact is Muslim terrorists were the perpetrators of the 9/11 attacks. No amount of P. C. stupidity will change that.

Here’s hoping that Peter Gadiel will get the memorial that he wants, and James Gadiel deserves.

Political Correctness is killing this country..

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

I'd like to see what these town leaders approve for text books in this community.  What will the children learn concerning the attacks?  What was it that General Eisenhower ordered when liberating camps in Germany and why?
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

I wonder if Mr. Epstein woud object to having his grandparents tombstone read "killed by German Nazis"? Lets be real here, most muslims aren't terrorists and most Germans weren't Nazis, but that doesn't change the fact that these cultures bred and tolerated this sort of thing. I do not hold all Muslims responsible, any more than I want to be held responsible for every boneheaded or evil thing thing America has ever done. However, I do have to acknowledge it happened. When we look at reminders of slavery, or the Trail of Tears, or the internment of Japanese Americans and the rest of our dirty laundry it stings, and it should. It reminds us not to do it again. The same is true of the Germans with the Holocaust. It should be true for a muslim community that circles the wagons around and makes excuses for extremists. Let the reminder be there. Let it sting. It should hopefully remind them that silence is not ok.
