Election day 09

Did you vote ? how was turn out ? Any uncontested races ? Any positions with NO candidates , if so what did you do ?

Here in Laconia we only voted for City positions, in my ward there were 3 uncontested races, (Police commission, was a surprise )
and Ward clerk had no candidate, I don't know what the job involves, but I wrote in my own name.   ;D
Turn out was less than light, of the people running for ward positions only one candidate was at the polling station. (and he wasn't the one I voted for   ;D )

Careful, you might get the job. And then we will mock, and talk of rope, because YOU will have become the man. ;D

I haven't registered in my new digs but I don't think they had anything on the ballot anyway.

Big race in Beantown for Mumbles Menino against his pal, might be close but I don't really give a sh!t...It's Boston!

Nothing in my local area.  :-\

Miami will be voting on another corrupt Mayor. A couple of City Council Critters in some burbs of Ft. Laud. Not mine.

Caught an interesting tidbit, on how the GOP is wiping the egg off its face for backing the RINO in NY.

House Minority Leader "Boner", spelling I know :P, says he "regrets" supporting her.  As she withdrew and SUPPORTED OWENS THE DEMOCRAT!!!.

I hope Hoffman wins there also. I like the "C" instead of "R" denotation. Maybe it will catch on, and get the RINO'S out of there.

I hope this is a smack to the GOP.

In NJ we had Gov. Jon Corzine's head on the block and chopped it off. My two local State Assembly Dems got reelected because they are Pro 2A, and a county freeholder (we like to call them "freeloaders") ran unopposed and, evidently, won.
Turnout was about 60% in my district.
I got the blues as my companion.
