I love it!  Why am I thinking there's been a version of this for sale in China for years now?  :-\  Well, Tom may not be in that one.  ;D

In the Chinese version, Tom would be called Wehang Dem Hi.   ;D

Boring!!!  And no one would whisper a word of discontent if this was a book, television, or movie.  You old folks just have it out for the video games.  Admit it!!!

That's why they have industry set ratings on the box.  FQ, I'm glad you ain't all, "I don't like this, ban all games."  Some people would have me in the poor house if they could.  Its a personal decision to enjoy what entertainment one would.

Besides, I'm not buying it anyway because its the same thing as the first Modern Warefare, its $60 on PC, and they're spitting in the faces of the people that CoD famous.

When I get to make MY game, it'll make this look like a Sunday morning church service. ;)

So path, hows the weather up there? I got down to nearly sixty today. I went fishing in a pond down the street for a bit, and actually thought about putting on a long sleeved shirt.   ;D

Wow... I didn't think people on this form would be talking about this game here.  Especially a day after after Modern Warfare 2 was released. I'll admit I was one of those crazies who picked up a copy on the day it was released.  The premise of the mission where you commit a terrorist act of gunning down civilian, that you are a deep cover agent infiltrating a terrorist organization.  As part of the 'new guy' initiation is to do the deed.

People will say violent video games... will cause violent children, so ban them right? Well,  I remember back in high school the media was saying the same thing then about, Grand Theft Auto.  Grand Theft Auto is a bad game because it lets children play as a gangster.  Or First Person Shooters (FPS) like Halo train kids to be gunmen.  In general economics, the only reason why people make these games is people want them.  Thus, the video game industry is a multi-billion dollar industry.

Personally, this mission caused my moral fiber to twitch.  But its my belief that video games are a form of entertainment, a mode of story telling, which allows a person to experience something they couldn't imagine.  As for the game itself I liked it.  I personally choose to go through with the terrorist act, and killed civilians in a mass shooting in a video game.  I don't know if this is the right place for this or what kind of rebuttal I will get for my comments.  As I reflect upon my experience, I begin to wonder, if there is something wrong with my train of thoughts or morals.  I may never know, for I am only human.  Will I ever commit a mass shooting in real life? I don't think so, but I don't know.  With the proper motivation people can accomplish amazing things.  Depend on your point of view it maybe for good or bad.  Remember one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.

On a side note video games don't appear over night.  The creation of a game usually take about a year.  And the release date of games are set 3-4 month in advance.  Thus, the controversial aspect of this game happens to coincide with the mass shooting event which took place at Ft Worth.  The Call of Duty series of games personify the men and women in the armed services as heroes.  And its my firm belief that every soldier, sailor, airmen and marine deserve our deepest respect.

My heart goes out to the departed and their families of this horrible event.
