Love the run and gun games, finished COD4 Modern Warfare on Veteran, now going back and just playing specific scenarios. I think I have my son convinced to cough up half for the PS3 version of MW2.

I hated the sniper scenarios in COD4: MW, took forever to figure out how to get through the field with the enemy troops.

You'll have to clue me in to how you did it on Veteran. I'm still stuck on it!

Claymores, C4 and a s***load of luck. Also dying enough times to memorize the places where the bad guys are and place explosives accordingly. Grabbing an AK or a G3 as a backup weapon is also helpful.

I got stuck in the "Hunted" mission on veteran myself, one of these days I'll get back to it but I hear "Mile High Club" is a nightmare on veteran.

ok guys, after 9 hours and 4 cups of coffee last night, i conclude that modern warfare 2 is a great game.

the online play is what got me. me and my buddy stole our kids xbox and played together from 8pm till 5am and i still have the urge to go and play some more.

the online play has your "classes" which are your weapon setups. they have all the military hardware you can imagine. and you customize your setup to your play style. my friend is an ex MC scout sniper and instantly got hooked on the sniping aspect of it.
he had his class kitted out with a chytech sniper rifle with a suppressor, and 4-9x scope, with a desert eagle, claymores and ghuillie suit.

i made a class with a M4, Eotech, and suppressor. with a m9, semtex, smoke etc.

damn we kicked some 14 year old ass last night, i came up at the end of it all with 387 online kills and 284 deaths.

the thing we both enjoyed though was the "special ops mode" where the two of you defend a position against waves of enemy's
me and him both serving, we got a pretty good kick out of the whole game and were amazed at how realistic it was.

to sum up, if you want to waste hours of your day, have fun with friends and beat down on them pesky kids, play this game  ;D

Heck, that's what Haz has the forum for.  ;)    ;D  ;D  ;D

Maybe they should make a version where we take over DC.

They could call it, "Call of Duty 5: Tom Bogan Takes Washington".   ;D

Dunno, yest it's just a game. And I like first person shooter games.  But, just like guns, how do you decide who gets to play them and whether or not they got "some screws loose" upstairs.  ???  I can see some unsupervised kid trying to act it out someday after playing it for a year straight. Then, it will be plastered on television how bad guns are. Grrr..

My bad, it's the only one not on Veteran - I really hate that scenario, I never go back to it. I'll have to try with Anubus' suggestion and plant a sh!tload of claymores - on normal setting first.

Are you guys talking about the part where you have to sneak passed the troops or are you talking about the part when you are waiting for the helicopter?
