At least one guy believes in buying American.
""It may be laid down as a primary position, and the basis of our system, that every Citizen who enjoys the protection of a free Government, owes not only a proportion of his property, but even his personal services to the defence of it, and consequently that the Citizens of America (with a few legal and official exceptions) from 18 to 50 Years of Age should be borne on the Militia Rolls, provided with uniform Arms, and so far accustomed to the use of them, that the Total strength of the Country might be called forth at a Short Notice on any very interesting Emergency." - George Washington. Letter to Alexander Hamilton, Friday, May 02, 1783

As much as CNN bashes gun owners and gun rights they took the advertising dollars. It shows you what whores they actually are.

You DO realize that Henry is like the 3rd company to produce the AR7 ?
Originally it was put out by Armalite, then some one else, I THINK it was Charter Arms, Now Henry, there might have been other manufacturers in between. Makes me think that while there may be a niche for it in the market, (I wouldn't mind having one ) It doesn't seem to support it's self in the long run.

I belive that the AR 7 is a very usefull tool that has a place.  However, marketing of everything else new and changes in the mindset of outdoorsmen have overshadowed a very practicle survival tool.

On the topic of the commercial that started this thread:  Have you ever looked around your home, the items you purchase, or if you sell the items you sell for where they are from?  I got frustrated with one of our major suppliers for one of the items we purchase from them that I learned comes from China.  I'm waiting to see why they made the jump across the big pond.  Everything else is from North America, with most out of the U.S.  However, they have started a little crack with this one area, and I fear they could go more and more that way.

I am currently fighting the industry trend to purchase caskets from China.  They are cheaper, but the key word is cheap.  They are not inexpensive.  There is a difference in cost vs. value, and I don't want to get into the situation of working harder to make a cheap product acceptable to people that expect a certain level of quality regardless of how much they want cheap ... Actually what they want is inexpensive, but the retail market is responding by providing cheap.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.
