All I have to say is M1 action (M1, M1A, M14). Time tested, rifleman approved!

I went with lever. I love the old westerns and they work well. Unlike semiautos muscle power same as pumps. I own a lever and bolt action both great.

More than a little stunned semi-auto didn't flat out run away with a popularity poll!   :-\

I'm still second guessing between bolt & single shot myself.   ;)  Always wanted me a heavy barrel, S.S. Ruger #1!   :)

As much as I like my semi-auto's. (they outnumber everything else in my gun cabinet 2-1) More often than not I find myself reaching for the bolt gun. There is just something about locking a cartridge in the chamber and the rock solid feel of a bolt action. Ok, I'll stop there, as my mouth is watering and my eyes are starting to get misty.

I have examples of each in my safe. As a mater of fact, I'm off to the woods with a bolt action tomorrow, but I still voted for the lever action. I love em, and at some point during the current hunting season, I'll be following some critter's tracks through the woods while toten one of my marlins.

Like the semi's but grew up with a bolt so I think that I will stick with what I love.

I love the AR-15, AK-47, and M-1A, so I'm partial to the semi. But I also love settling in behind a bolt action for some nice close grouping, Magnum action!  Bill T.

I think I like Lever actions the best. In fact, I don't even HAVE a bolt action.  I have 2 pumps, 2 leverguns, and all the rest are semi-auto.
