Spending a quite day with my wife and MIL so there is no need to be armed but a number will be close at hand should unwelcome individuals decide to drop in!

That's what's at my table.   Alcohol, Turkey and Firearms.   We may even use great-great-grandad's old sxs as a center piece.
Will work for ammo

Traveling across state lines to my sister's. Thanksgiving for reciprocity. I carry every place it is legal.

Does the Rem. 870 leaning against the wall in the corner of the dining room count?  ::)  I usually eat so much I don't carry, so I can keep my belt loose, and wine flowing...

Mmmmmmmm, oyster dressing...... ;D

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

Its something I've done several times.  It really reminds you how much you really have.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.
