So far the trigger is still stiff, but the take-up seems shorter than my stock XDs.  Accuracy is good, but so are my other XDs.  Sights are better than the old stock XD sights.

Shooting in 90+ degree weather, the grip was still slick, even with the new design.  I've got skateboard tape on all my other XDs, and may have to add it to this one as well.  The new design wasn't "too agressive", as others had guessed.  It did not tear into my hands at all.

I like the recoil of my XD-40 5" better.  It has a 22# spring and a Don's Guide Rod from Pistol Gear.  I may make the same changes to my XDm, after it's broken in.  Who knows, it may grow on me as-is.

IMO, Springfield should have stuck a thumb safety/decocker on the XDm.  That way the XDm woud have everything law enforcement / military could ask for.  The XDm would have all of the bellls and whistles, and the standard XD would be a KISS gun.

I haven't handled an XDm yet but I own a 9mm sc and a .45 compact and they are great guns. I'm starting to warm up to the aesthetics of the XDm but I'm not a fan of the .40S&W. The only possible scenario I can think of that will prompt me to buy one is if S.A. comes out with it in 10mm. I'd be all over that.

Trigger is starting to get better.  Put a couple hundred more rounds through it yesterday.  At 10 yards off-hand, all shots go in 1 hole smaller than a quarter.  Groups opened up at 25 yards off-hand, but that was me, not the gun.

It might also help to do a 25 yard test first...... if you are not used to shooting hundreds of rounds at one range visit, you will tend to get a little shaky after a hundred or so and your groups will open up.

I'm trying to get it broke in good first.  After about 500 rounds I'll do some benchrest accuracy testing.

Trying to bring back this thread and get some more info on how well everyone likes these guns. I have a .40SC XD that I like but really want one of the bitone XDm's..... 8)... In my opinion this is one of the sexiest guns that I have ever seen. So, how do you all like them and what is the accuracy like at 25 yards???? JB

Alright, well I went today and purchased the XD-M .40. I got the Bi-tone..... 8)! I really like the way this thing looks, feels, and once again looks..... I just hope that it is as great a gun as my other 3 XD's. I will run about 200 rounds through her this weekend and see what she has. JB
