Glad you asked.
The good news: Santa brought a .22 conversion for my Sig P220.
The bad news: It does not function as designed. Slide will not go forward into battery. Called Sig. Frame and kit have to travel to Exeter, NH, to be custom fitted. :'(

Perhaps there will be a spare mag in the return shipment.

First problem I have ever had in 15 years with a Sig.

Mac.

Should I have my gay cousin visit so it doesn't get lonely ? He's only 5 miles away   ;D

I must've been a very good boy this year......Santa brought me a new gun safe!  I racked my brain for 3 days trying to figure out wtf was in a box that big under the tree!!  The spousal unit had slight buyer's remorse, I think, when I pointed out that I would now be required to acquire more long guns, since empty slots in the safe is unacceptable.  (m58, I expect you to back me up on that logic the next time you talk to my bride!!!)

The best present, however, was the stunned, near-speechless e-mail I got from a good friend on Christmas Eve.  ;D

Oh yeah, getting snowed in alone with the spousal unit for 3 days didn't suck, either.   ;D

Asked for and got ammo.

120 rounds of .223
100 rounds of .308

Also, a cordless drill, Leatherman "Skeletool" and a way-cool John Wayne coffee mug.

The best gift was to still have my wife here with me and the family.

Gee, thanks Tom, but 5 miles seems sufficient. And Happy New Year to you too.

I Got a 1911 from my Dad

My dad gave me a 1911.   Unused, in box.

A Lufkin 1911.   A "K" model.

Hey, a good tool is almost as cool as a gun.
it's in pristine shape.  Probably dates from the 1960s based on the manual and literature in the box. Definitely prior to Cooper Industries buyout.   Lufkin brand now only appears on tape measures, wheels and rulers.
While it's a direct read and not a vernier, I used the opportunity to pull out my older calipers and teach my sons how to read a vernier dial.

Will work for ammo

When you get around to shooting, we need a range review.  My P220 is putting me in the poor house with current .45 cost!
