OK so I just read all the posts in this thread, hope I didn't offend anyone with my comment.

FQ13 re: your reply #46; "civics and current events???" Man I'd be happy if they went back to actually teaching the 3 R's. My boys used to get into trouble at school arguing points with teachers, I think what frosted the teacher's tails was the boys' arguments were better reasoned and supported the those of the "alleged" educator.

Has anyone taken the citizenship test? I took the version that was around when I was a senior in high school('77) as part of a History class project on immigration. Even back in what my kids call the "dark ages", only half of the group taking the test passed. It was an interesting experience that I think everyone should try once. At the risk of sounding "elitist" I only got 2 questions wrong back then.

Broso, I just retook it and got the same questions, 12 for 12 of course  (I DO learn from my mistakes    )
