Well...Murphy was an Infantryman!!!

I really like my Sig Classic line pistols and my 228 in particular.  For some reason though, I always seem to notice it on my hip more than I do my Glocks.  Never figured out why that is.

If I have a gun that fails on me, I pull it from the carry category.  I tend to go overboard about spring maintenance which includes replacing them at the 50% lifespan point.  It's just cheap insurance to me.  I clean my mags once a month and replace my mag springs and carry ammunition every six months.  I also drop check each carry round to ensure it fits the chamber properly.  To me all this means that if a gun fails due to something beyond my control, I can't trust it.

Of course, if I get into an accident which causes serious damage, I will replace my truck as soon as it comes back from the shop.

Too much?

There exists a law, not written down anywhere but inborn in our hearts; a law which comes to us not by training or custom or reading but by derivation and absorption and adoption from nature itself; a law which has come to us not from theory but from practice, not by instruction but by natural intuition. I refer to the law which lays it down that, if our lives are endangered by plots or violence or armed robbers or enemies, any and every method of protecting ourselves is morally right.

Sent my dead trigger M&P Pro 9 back to S&W on the 2/24 and received it back today.

Note in with the pistol CUSTOMER COMPLAINT: FIRING PIN STICKS
                        REPAIRED: REPLACE SPRINGS AS NEEDED

No it wasn't! It was the trigger went dead and would not reset.

Call S&W customer service to find out what was wrong with the pistol

MUZAC.........MUZAC.......MUZAC

Live Human being, "How can I help you?"
Explain the note and ask what was wrong with the pistol.

S&W answer: OH that just a generic code.

Me, OK I can understand that I guess. So what was wrong with the gun?

S&W: They replaced springs as needed

Me: Which springs?

S&W: I wouldn't know.

Me: AGRHHHH!

So I have a pistol that will reset the trigger but to be honest I again have no faith in it. I will try and get to the range sometime this weekend to see if it goes bang. I'm not holding my breath.

Have you tested it since it's return from repair? Let me know how it does. If you decide later to get rid of it let me know I wouldn't mind buying it from you if it get to be too much hassle to deal with.

Thanks I'll keep that in the back of my mind.

I did get 100 rounds through it on 3/13. It went bang every time on Winchester White box.
Trigger reset seems a bit better than before.
