I have a schematic from Beretta's web site so I think I'll give it a try.  What's the worst that could happen? :-\

Hold my beer and watch this! ;D Shoot video, please. ;D ;D ;D
FQ13 who will buy popcorn and wait for the after action report. But I have the greatest confidence in you. After all, what are the odds of a member of this board getting in trouble working on a gun? Hell, maybe get out the dremell to "polish" it a little. ;D ;D ;D

I'm not certain if it was functional before.  I bought it portioned out into small bags.

Thanks for the advice!

A small spring in the eyeball , could happen. I  Use a large freezer bag to contain small parts and springs They are large enough for you to work on the pistol (?) inside it, but keeps things from "escaping".
( I make fun of FQ for doing this , but this time I HAVE TO  ;D  )

One of the guys at a Beretta Service Center took pity on me and has agreed to save me from myself.

Thank you to everyone for your help, support and good humor!!!

Actually, using a plastic bag to contain the springs is IN the Beretta Armorer manual and class for removing the safety.  A guy from a NJ Dept said the infamous "I don't need to do THAT." and shot the spring across the classroom, proving why.

Never Heard that bag trick before, but (As someone who has launched a spring or two across a couple rooms when working on guns.) That's a good idea.  8)

Stay Safe,

Don't forget to post a pic of the gun when you get it back! Sometimes those "guns in a box" projects, turn out really well.  Bill T.
