Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them

Phil, I am sure y'all have spill response / HazWaste companies there.  Containing this spill and cleaning it up is EASY!  I used to do this type of work.  If ya get there fast the clean up is easy and fairly quick.  If (as usual) they wait until the crap is spread all over the place then it is a nightmare (an EXPENSIVE one).

Haz is right, they usually take their sweet time in 1)reporting 2) calling the cleanup companies... but they're always quick in blaming the engineers (engineers don't even have windows to look out to see where they are, so this makes no sense, but that's what most incompetent captains try to do.)
yes, you can drop the booms, but someone has to be there to set them out with a small boat for containment. I'm sure the tug company will bring something out with them though, salvage AND cleanup, now there's a decent paycheck.  ;D

AAAAGGGHHHHH!!!!!! DECKIES!!

 ;D

There are some Captains I know, that I wouldn't get in a canoe and cross the ICW with...on a calm, clear day,....

Than there are some that keep their hardcopies of charts, to cross reference the course, verify speed, and DOUBLE CHECK THE DECKIES!!!!!!!!

To quote Donald Trump: "Your Fired!"
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
