I didn't realize that I had named any until I started reading this thread. A firearm should be taken out and shot as often as the owner has the chance, two of mine rested in the care of their last owners for many years. My maternal grandfather bought a used Colt Woodsman from someone he knew many years ago and shot it very little if at all. My dear wife talked my dad out of it for a Christmas present for me in 2008. A friend of mine passed away almost three years ago and I bought his Systema from his widow when she was selling his valuables that she couldn't use. His two electric cars and Ham radio equipment were bought by people he knew that shared those hobbys with him. Now that I am semi-retired 2 or 3 times a month I try to make it to the shooting club where I am a member and very often I take Charles and Grandad.  Aside from those two I have never given a name to a firearm.

Haz, it is a very desirable Argentine copy of the 1911.
Pretty sure (not positive) that it's another name for this.

Still haven't decided on a name for the Swedish Mauser.

For the single actions I'm making a list that includes:

Truth
Justice
Freedom
Liberty
Honor

Any more suggestions along this line would be appreciated.

Naming your guns does have a positive.  By saying did you bring "Betty" with you today?  No-one is the wiser.  But if you say Hey Jason did you bring your Beretta with you or how about your Walther we might need 'em for this vicious dog over here.  It has came in handy a few times.

With the help of this forum I have my pair of New Vaquero .357's named Whoop and Ass  ;D

There is my bullseye pistol, a Ruger Mark III cleverly named Mark, and he has since gained a matching brother I just call Three.

Most of the rest are just named F***, because that is what I say every time I test my marksmanship with them.
If I appear taller than other men it is because I am standing on the shoulders of others.

How about "Revenge" and "Reckoning "
"If violent crime is to be curbed, it is only the intended victim who can do it. The felon does not fear the police, and he fears neither judge nor jury. Therefore what he must be taught to fear is his victim." - Jeff Cooper
Pericles--"Freedom is only for those who have the guts to defend it".

The problem with society today is that not enough of us drink wine from our enemies skulls”.

It takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile, and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.

Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars!!!

Es gibt keine Notwendigkeit zu befürchten, Underdog hier ist.
Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage. Where are we now??????
