As many of you know, I have family in AZ, an open carry state. Of course, now they are also a non-permit concealed carry state so anyone without a disqualifying background factor may carry concealed. Anyway, back to the open carry question... When I have visited Mom and Dad, I have open carried in AZ.
My current favorite piece is a Red Hawk in .44 Mag and it reeeeeally doesn't lend itself to concealed carry on my svelte physique, so I kinda welcome the opportunity to have it with me when I am in AZ. New Mexico is the same way. So, when I drive across the border from El Paso, I pull into that first NM rest area and strap a holster to my leg, wherein resides my Red Hawk.
The rest of the time, I CC my Glock 27--yeah, it's Tupperware, but my Tupperware will throw 11 rounds of Speer Gold Dots wiith surprising speed and accuracy, should the need arise.
And before someone gets their knickers in a twist, I know standard mags don't allow for that many rounds, but I have a Pierce extension and I carry one in the pipe.
And I think it should be legal in all 57 states (yeah, that was a slam on Odamna) Now I can be on a watch list, too.
