That I don't know, but its a piece of fried cornbread, or rather a corn cake that is then fried. Sort of an upland southern donut. Given that real corn bread involves bacon fat anyway (if you're doing it right) and add the grease from frying it.....I'd say you'd eat one and be dodging folks on your way to the head nd or or smart people would lookat it and say "This looks dodgy", but I could be wrong.
