Show n' Tell, Daughter and Guns

This coming week is the last for my kid's school.  On Wednesday, the 4th grade class is spending the day with sort of a mega-show and tell.  They are to tell what their talents are and give demonstrations.  My daughter -- who is a talented softball player and musician -- what does she pick?  Shooting!

She cleared it with her teacher so early this morning she and I went to the range.  Haley loves shooting my AR15s, especially the .22 conversion units.  I recently built a dedicated .22 upper out of Spike's Tactical components...now she has claimed that as her own.

Anyway, she had fun mowing down rows of bowling pins and steel plates and I had fun loading magazines for her.  We made a couple of videos too but I can't get them to upload.

She is going to take in her targets and eye/ear pro along with pictures and maybe the videos.  My guess is that she will have all the class boys jealous.  How many other 4th grade girls spent the morning shooting ARs?  Also, gotta love small town teachers that understand shooting isn't some kind of anti-social disease.

I was going to say that your reward for this would be a visit from child protective serices and a restaining order. ;D But you say its a small town so you're all good. Me, think you're raising her right and she's a cute kid. Good for you.

I am very curious as to how her presentation is received.  Would love to see the kids and teacher's (or teachers') reactions.

A PS to my original post.
 Speaking as former Pro-Choice activist? I Would email that first picture of her holding the AR  to NARAL with the caption "I'm pro-choice and I shoot back". Just imagining the endles squabbles about whether to have it made into a poster or having you put on a watch list would keep me laughing for hours. If you don't want to to get into abortion? Send it to NOW. Caption it "No means No Asshole, did I stutter"? ;D

That is AWESOME I love it!! Just to piss of the establishment I'm going a team project in my college class on learning to shoot!! ;D I'm going to bring in some Airsoft pistols as props.
