This coming week is the last for my kid's school. On Wednesday, the 4th grade class is spending the day with sort of a mega-show and tell. They are to tell what their talents are and give demonstrations. My daughter -- who is a talented softball player and musician -- what does she pick? Shooting!
She cleared it with her teacher so early this morning she and I went to the range. Haley loves shooting my AR15s, especially the .22 conversion units. I recently built a dedicated .22 upper out of Spike's Tactical components...now she has claimed that as her own.
Anyway, she had fun mowing down rows of bowling pins and steel plates and I had fun loading magazines for her. We made a couple of videos too but I can't get them to upload.
She is going to take in her targets and eye/ear pro along with pictures and maybe the videos. My guess is that she will have all the class boys jealous. How many other 4th grade girls spent the morning shooting ARs? Also, gotta love small town teachers that understand shooting isn't some kind of anti-social disease.
