Violence Policy Center goes after Ruger/SR9c
« on: August 13, 2010, 10:34:33 AM »
Bluring the line on copyright violations and definately a case of blaming the tool and not the crazy trigger man - Who was black and of course was a victim of racism ::)

*BTW - it was an SR9 and not the SR9c, but who needs facts?

Watch this:

So let me see, Ruger, Gunsite, MarketWatch com, and the news channel, at the least, all probably didn't give them permission to use their trademark.

That could get expensive. :D
When seconds mean the difference between life and death, the police will be minutes away.

You are either SOLVING the problem, or you ARE the problem.

Is there something seriously wrong with me that I think this looks like a gun ad, not an anti-gun spot? I mean, just from watching, the mesage seems to be "Buy one of these cool Rugers in case some crazy bastard goes off the rails, because all the 911 operator is going to do is ask if you've really been shot in the head". ;D
FQ13 who may be as twisted and evil as Eric claims, but honestly if I were Ruger? I'd send the Violence Policy Center a fruit basket and a thank you card, along with a gift certificate for a free Ruger firearm of their choice, just to piss them off. ;D

While I would include the Gift certificate, because I am a sarcastic SOB, I would disguise the Fruit basket as a Copy right attorney with a BIG honking law suit because I am also pragmatic enough to realize that every penny they spend on defense lawyers is one penny less they have to spend on BS propaganda.
If it worked on the Soviets, it ought to work on these azzholes, after all, there are limits on how much even George Soros is willing to waste on a lost cause.

what  nothing on the Gun Salesman of the Year

I Hope Ruger and the others go them  ;D
Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them, disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them. The only thing you can’t do is ignore them
