The La Matt pistol

I've been looking at Navy Arms version of the La Matt pistol.  Does anyone know if the shotgun barrel is operational?  If it is do you have to apply for the class III stamp?

Don't need one, it's a muzzleloader.  Not a "firearm" under Federal law.

Wouldn't it be great to have a modern LeMat in, say, .44 Magnum with a rifled (so it would be legal) 20 gauge barrel?????

Think I can talk Taurus into it?
