Looking for a Pic
« on: September 30, 2010, 09:15:28 PM »
I've been searching the internet all evening, with no succcess. I'm looking for the pic that floats around the internet of a camo Glock with "Smile, wait for the flash" photoshopped on the crown of the barrel. Can anyone help me out? Thanx.

BJ, I'm not sure it's a photo shop. I think Laser Dynamix does it.
Any place that does laser engraving could if they have the room to fixture the barrel.

I believe it to be photoshop because it runs over the edge of the crown. If they kept it on the flat, it would be more believable. I've been wrong before, though!

I was going to say, "it might be machined" but I saw this  ;D

"Lone Wolf Distributors "in house" Laser Engraving "

Answers that. There ARE limits on what a laser can do, but they relate to materials, not size or complexity,
2 items I've seen done, a map of the world cut out of St Steel, then borders engraved on a 12 inch oval plate in one run another one was a Christmas Ornament, cut out of Marvin the Martian.
One I know they couldn't do, (10 years ago ) was Copper, it was to refractive IIRC, vapor is another issue, if the material generates to much, or particulate  smoke you could not laser it.
