Answers that. There ARE limits on what a laser can do, but they relate to materials, not size or complexity,
2 items I've seen done, a map of the world cut out of St Steel, then borders engraved on a 12 inch oval plate in one run another one was a Christmas Ornament, cut out of Marvin the Martian.
One I know they couldn't do, (10 years ago ) was Copper, it was to refractive IIRC, vapor is another issue, if the material generates to much, or particulate smoke you could not laser it.
