Perhaps it's me, but I've never had any luck with "rechargeable" anything. Unless you use them all the time rechargeable batteries, capacitors, etc. seem to go bad from sitting for long periods of time. A lot like these high dollar cordless power tools from companies like DeWalt, Ryobi, and the like. If your a contractor who makes a living with them you're good to go. But for a guy to spend $200.00 on a drill he'll wind up using 3 times a year for some little project, the batteries will go well before you wear them out. Rechargeable batteries work best, and last the longest when they are used on a regular basis, and deep cycled from a full charge to all but dead. Anything less and they're on borrowed time.
That light is really nice, and if I was a cop, or a pilot who flew a lot at night, I'd have one. But for as much as I use a flashlight I just can't justify it. I'm still trying to justify buying a Surefire 9P, and they are only $70.00 or so. Bill T.
