I guess the JR carbine would be ok , I mean if you carried a Glock. Marlin camp  carbines will interchange with 1911 mags in .45ACP and S&W M -669 in 9mm, Calico has a combo also in very hi cap configurations. Beretta's CX firestorm also interchanges with its pistols. So there are a few choices priced pretty good. IMO manufacturers purposely don't match up combos for sales sake.

The JR is standard for Glock mags but can be setup for Sig, Beretta and others. I did a little more web searching on it and the $750 is a very "suggested" retail. Street price looks to be more like $550-$600. You can change the mag blocks and barrels so it's multi-mag / multi-caliber. It also takes All regular AR pistol grips and commercial sized stocks. I sent an email to EMF asking about them and within about 3 hours I got a reply from the president / owner of the company who is also their designer / engineer for this and their auto pistol that also looks pretty nice. I'm seriously thinking about picking one of these up if I can find one for under $600.

Marlin used to make the Camp Carbine in .45.  Still do in 9mm(I think).  There was a company converting the 9mm to take Glock mags.  I would like to see Marlin come back with the .45 model that used Glock or other hicap mags (PARA, STI or whatever)

PS Mag-Tech makes a carbine top end for many of the popular pistols.  Reasonable too.  A friend said he prefered his Marlin to his MT conversion.  FWIW

I think you mean Mech-Tech, Richard.

Too bad the camp carbine didn't take double-wide Para mags. I would have bought that one.

All of this does make you wonder why Glock doesn't make their own carbine. I mean it wouldn't be that hard and Lord knows a lot of LEO agencies would issue them for patrol. Hell, they'd be better than ARs in urban settings, and I'd sure buy one if they could keep it in the $500-$600 range. Frankly, they could sell them at the break even point to profit from mag sales and matching pistols. Maybe I'm missing something, but this seems like a big pile of money that Glock, or S@W, or Sig, or Berretta; take your pick, are passing up.

Right, Mech-Tech.  I stand (sit) corrected.
