The Lindsay Auction has started.   I may have overdone the pre-bid thing.   I could end up with several guns I really didn't intend to buy.  (life is rough)

Well, I got what I was after with today's auction from Lindsay.

2 of the NcStar red dot holographic sights.   $30ea   Normally $42 at Optics Planet.   One's going on my 45 degree mount on my AR and the other on the top of my Buckmark .22

THEN, I also got something unintended.  A S&W 66  .357 Stainless w/ 4" barrel.   $375.   Not a steal but a good bargain.  I really would have rather had the 686 6" but it went before I could raise my bid.  This was a pre-bid...maybe a little high, but now I have Smith's in 4",  6" and 8-3/8" barrels.   Do I really need them? (don't answer that)    Might sell/trade this one.  We'll see once I get my hands on it and inspect it.

ON THE OTHER HAND the 624 .44spl I bought Friday is turning out to be a really good deal.   It's built on the N frame, same as the 629 .44 mag.   Only made for 2 years in the mid '80s.  Should be a sweet shooter and a great companion to the 686.   It's definitely a keeper.   More to come once it gets here.

I was going to bid on that one but saw your handle and didn't want to bid against you. (I really didn't want to go higher than 375 anyway)

I ended up with an Ithaca 37 and a Blackhawk stock for a Rem 870. Overall not bad for $285 total.
Damn your eyes for showing me this auction site!! I already bought a gun from Cabela's on Friday!  ;)

I'm sorry that.   I pre-bid on all the 686's and 66's.   I just bid a bit too high on that one and too low on the others.   If I'd have known, before the auction started I would have brought my max down for you.

I'm really pumped about my 624 from Friday.

Hey, I didn't start this.  I just followed up on somebody else's post from a week or so ago.  I think this is it for me until all the Christmas bills are paid and the credit cards cool off a bit.

Now I just gotta find me some extra .44special brass.  Only got 100 or so.   Maybe there's an auction......................

No big deal. I've been kicking around the idea of a 4" stainless K or L frame for years. Fits in between the J stainless and my 2 N frames but I already have 2 K frames in blue. What to do, what to do....

My credit cards are smokin' too, and I'm not nearly done with Christmas shopping yet!

Side note: I didn't realize what a prospering business auctions were. THEY'RE EVERYWHERE!

There were bargains to be had at the auction and I just didn't need any at this time of year. Darn the bad luck but it was fun  wishing and hoping.  ;D :o

Thanks for the heads up Rojawe! I was this close to bidding on an air rifle I didn't need and Alf's NC Star optic to go with it. I came to my senses and didn't, but if you get the heads up on more of these please post. Your alert was very much apprecciated (though maybe not by Alf's wife). ;D
