This is a S&W 627 which Has an MSRP of $1,249. Routinely sells for $1,000 at gun stores.

Whoa!  You can find those on GunBroker in the $800-850 range.

When you see a Ruger 10-22 with Leupold Scope listed at $700 to $1000 estimate, that's when I know the guns are way out of my range.

Here's a little upcoming auction. Dillards Auction in Spring Hill, PA, Saturday 8/18.  Hard to tell from the pre-bids how this one will go.  Only 130 guns but there's a smattering of things.

Most notable (to me at least) is a Herter's bolt action in .338 Win Mag.   Good looking stock.  A nostalgic thing since Herter's was The MidwayUSA of the 60s and 70s.

I'll probably put in some low pre-bid on the Ruger Blackhawk .45 just for fun.
