Hey ladies, I need some help.

Neckless lenght, which is better  17", 18" or 19"?

In this case its for a pendent.  the pendent is about 1.25" in lenght if that makes a diffrence.

Is there any way I can determine which lenght I need with out totally giving it away?

If I get your question, necklace length for a 1.25" pendant.?  Keep perspective, some women have a Sophia Loren "long neck". Some have a Jessica Alba "shorter" neck,...

For a 1.25" pendant the proper "length" for a pendant should just come to top section of the cleavage. Think of a plunging neckline dress, the pendant should "hang" in the happy zone.

Take it from me and a well endowed wife. ::) Measure one of her current necklaces and apply the math for the pendant.

;D If the length is right,....well the picture works.,.... ;)

In all seriousness, with my wife, I've always based it on the type of top it will most often be worn with and set the pendant to lie centered in the open space if it is worn with a plunge-type neckline. If it is a crew-type neckline, nearly any length will work, but TW's advice works well on that for either style.

If she wants a pearl necklace she will say so, some women are funny that way.

I'd say go with the 18 inch length.
There's probably a reason it's "happy medium".

I found a pendent that matchs her tennis braclet I got her a couple years back.  Its the 1st one I've ever found that does.  Its vintage, from some time in the teens.( traded work for it)   The neckless that is with it is broke,  Its nothing fancy just a very simple white gold chain. Figured I'd get one so she can actually wear it.

White Gold is becoming more popular, "what is old is new again",.....it has always been a very good base for jewelry. Based on the price of gold lately, not a bad thing.

Never underestimate good silver also.  I have to get my wife "tough" jewelry, her delicate chains and stuff always seem to end up at the jewelers for repair. :-\

I've never been a fan of yellow gold.

It makes my wife react anyways and it turns green( not that uncommon)  white gold does not.

she really can't wear jewelry to work anyways.  It would just end up in her locker.  its why we bought 2 wedding bands, a cheap one that she wears to work that is about a half size too big and the real one.
