Haily Dunn
« on: January 13, 2011, 03:00:42 PM »
I bet some of you have heard about this case as it hwas made national news. For those of you who haven't, The girl has turned up missing In Colorado city, Tx. C-city is about 20 miles from here.  The mothers boyfriend was compared killing a person to killing a deer. He has also siad he used a chainsaw to cut up deer when he hunted. I have never heard of using a chainsaw to cut up a deer. Have any of you ever heard of this? I've been deer hunting for as long as I can remember and never thought of that. Am i the only that that sounds suspicious to?

Have not heard the story.

Have used a chainsaw for removing deer horns and for splitting the rear quarters along the spine.

I've used a cordless sawzall with a metal cutting blade for field dressing.

To clarify, we never cut through the edible meat parts...(and there was no oil in the chain lube reservoir)...just through the bones, like the ends of the leg joints where the meat stops and through the pelvis. The rest of it we used a dedicated sawzall with a new blade for quartering.
