My situation was the MA State Police are required at the guns shows.  When a Statie asks if your carrying, you'd better tell him the truth.

I said, "Yes Sir!".  He explained the situation, I thanked him politely and left...he didn't like it, but he gave me no grief either.

Around here it is mostly just hunters/shooters.  We do get a few odd balls every once in a while, but not many.  The last one we had did turn out a bit interesting on the first day though.  One of the vendors had two "accidental" discharges within 10 minutes.  I wasn't around for it, but a friend of mine told me he could almost hear, "I didn't think it was loaded," come out of his mouth.  Anyway long story short it was a .25ACP, one round went into the ceiling and the other in the wall, after the second round went off my friend said there was about 6 lasers on the ceiling above the guys head and he was accompanied by more compentent people untill the sheirf's deputies arived to escort him out the door.  The best part about it was that he was a retired state highway patrol officer.

My biggest gripe at the show this weekend was that most of the vendors had no clue what they were selling. I went along with a friend to help her get a good deal on something reliable to carry. Sadly SHE knew more about the gun she was looking at than the guy selling it. This is a girl who admits knowing next to nothing about guns.

His lack of preparedness worked in our favor since I think she paid about $50 less than the gun is worth.  ;)
Chalk it up to the vendor not being able to B.S. a B.Ser.

I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

The gun show in Manchester prohibits CCW, I haven't been back in 3 years.

Yea, I was at the Expo Center (Big E) in Springfield which, as the crow flies, is about a mile from Smith and Wesson's facilities so it wasn't a total loss.  We went and rented some hardware and dirtied up some $2500, Doug Koenig special edition 1911's!

20 bucks to shoot a $2500 1911 was worth the aggravation...  I think Mike shot an M&P....?????

Kind of ironic really. Every crook would love to find a place where defenseless people would be carrying either large amounts of cash or shiny new handguns. Apparently, a gun show parking lot in New England is just the place. Who'd a thunk it? :o ;D
FQ13 who does ot want his epitaph to read "Shot while unarmed leaving a gun show with a shiny new Glock in a bag". ::)
Do the organizers even have a clue who they are selling to?

That's the hilarious part, The venue ( Sheraton I think ) has no control over the parking lot   ;D  All the Dealers open carry as well   ;D
