Concealed Carry Reciprocity
« on: February 02, 2011, 06:15:28 PM »
I did a cursory search looking for information on State by State CCW Reciprocity and thought I would post the information I have found here in this thread.
It includes a map as well as State by State links.
It is actually from the State of Missouri but includes all states....Hope it will help out others as well.

Lots of "points" on that map. Seems like MOST of the country.  Too bad a simple National Concealed Carry Law CAN'T get passed.

Thanks for the link.

Too bad that our Government is so scared of an individuals 2nd Amendment rights that CCW Permits and Laws are enacted in the first place.
Personally I think that if you are legally allowed to own a firearm you should be able to carry it.

Seems the 'Show Me' State ,..."gets it"...

For the most part..although the NFA laws here are a little confusing.  You can own class III firearms if you also hold a FFL.  Missouri allows Full Auto and Short Barrel Rifle ownership...but no Suppresors.  You can own Automatic Opening Knives but you can't carry them.

A little trivia here....It's widely believed that the carrying of concealed weapons in the state of Missouri was made illegal due primarily to the actions of one Mr. Jesse James and some of his post Civil War antics.

Actually Rat, I think it dates to the fighting before the Civil War.

Not true  :o, You can also have a suppressor with a FFL. C&R is sufficient.

a big issuse reciprocity, is that diffrent states have diffrent rules on who and who can not get one.

Don't even get me started on the laws that are diffrent on where and what you can carry in diffrent states.

But the United States Constitution was amended to read "shall not be infringed."  I believe that is pretty clear and covers any differences some may want to through in.
