Christina Aguilera Does The Predictable

When will our sport leagues learn to just hand the music and lyrics to the "stars," and say "sing it this way!"?

Does it surprise anyone that it is the most painful three minutes of screeching (cat in a sack bad), and wrong words heard since our last tour of the Alzheimer's wing at the nursing home?

The singing of our National Anthem is about honoring our nation and those that made and make our enjoyments possible.  It is not about your "great artistic talent!"

I'm here typing this because the Super Bowl "Halftime Show" is the biggest pile of crap I've ever heard in my life! These idiot's sound like pigs in a punch press. I'd find an attack of diarrhea in a crowded subway car more pleasurable than listening to these afterbirths with vocal chords. Pure slop. They should get a bill from the NFL, not a check.  Bill T.

im not even watching the game and i'm in the heart of steeler country... for shame on me.... but i would have to agree. these "singers" have no respect for the task at which they are privileged to have. instead they see it as an opportunity to make the spotlight shine on them... besides.... she has always sounded like $hit smells anyway.

Christina did sing well, but she did screw up the verse.

She's crap. Didn't watch the game other than a few minutes before the half. Don't care who wins. Thought the "group" (?) at halftime sucked big league (the blond looked like she just woke up and never practiced), changed the channel after about 20 seconds.

Music in a stadium pretty much sucks anyway - lousy acoustics. 
Add to that a terrible National Anthem singer and a crappy halftime group and it REALLY SUCKS.

The NFL is continuosly trying to jazz up the Super Bowl with big production numbers at halftime, and stupor star singers for the National Anthem. They always screw up.

The irony of the halftime show is that the FOX network originated the "alternative" halftime show back in the late 80s and early 90s. They provided an alternative program that lasted exactly long enough to give viewers an option to the stupor bow halftime show. Too bad they became mainstream.
