This kind of crap has only been going on for 45 years, glad to see you boys are right on the breaking news.
Colleges are nothing but indoctrination centers for communists, not every one who graduates from college is a socialist scum bag, but it's a safe way to bet.
No offense, but I kind of paid my tuition with ROTC and no one ever gave me crap about wearing the uniform to class on days I had mil. science courses at Georgetown and couldn't change into civvies before class. And American University isn't exactly a bastion of conservatism. Before y'all vent (and it pisses me off too) remember these aholes don't represent the majority of the school. They are just the one's who showed up to protest reinstating ROTC. They are a self selected group of idiots. They call that soldier a racist? How many minority kids (or poor whites) are they keeping out who need that ROTC scholarship to afford Columbia?

. Most college students understand that. They alll, except for the rich, graduate owing somebody something. Maybe its a bank for a student loan, maybe its a few years in the Army or Americorps. Either way, you do what you do to get the degree. The vast majority of undergrads (and profs) get that. These idiots are outliers, and I say this as someone who has been a very pro military prof for quite a while. Aholes are out there, but most kids get it.

PS the changing into civvies bit was an Army rule, not me being ashamed of the uniform. We were only supposed to wear it while attendining class or in transit. We also couldn't use umbrellas while in uniform, a source of great amusement to the Navy. They could, and mocked, and scoffed, and laughed, and were freaking dry.

Cadets didn't merit class A caps. We got c@nt caps, not so good for the rain. The Navy, well, even the Marines had umbrellas.
