Man Brings Beer to DWI Court Appearance
He was also allegedly carrying four more cans in a bag.

A 49-year-old man is in Sullivan County Jail without bail after authorities say he showed up for a court hearing on a felony DWI charge drunk and carrying an open can of Busch beer, plus four more cans in a bag.

The Middletown Times Herald-Record reports that Keith Gruber of Swan Lake was an hour and a half late for his court appearance Monday before Sullivan County Judge Frank LaBuda, who asked him if he enjoyed his "liquid lunch."

Gruber said he did, then said he was sorry.

LaBuda sent him to jail with no bail.

"It was obvious he was intoxicated," LaBuda said.

Gruber, who has prior DWI convictions, was arrested on Dec. 27 in the town of Liberty and was out on $30,000 cash bail.

Keith, Keith, Keith...if you're going to show up hammered for your DWI hearing, drinking a beer and carrying some more, AT LEAST BE ON TIME! 
Promptness shows responsibility. Being late....well that just gives the illusion of carelessness.  ::)

How can you call him careless? He brought more beer didn't he? That shows prior preperation. ;D

CAN?  CANS?  Okay right there it shows no class.  CANS are what beans come in.  Or worms.  Beer comes in dark brown bottles.

AND it was Busch!   I don't think he should see daylight for some time.

One thing that age and wisdom has given me is the knowledge that.....

If it has a pull tab or a twist off cap, it's not worth drinking!

Molly Dooker, Australian Shiraz. Peter Lehmann Cabernet, or the Kaesler Iron Horse Grenache,...all around $20-$25 bucks a bottle, all have twist tops, the Aussie's got it figured out.  8)

Certainly not the Boone's Farm, we enjoyed, suffered through as younger folk.,..,.,.,., :P

But I liked Boone's Farm,... ;D OK I never liked Busch,...but the occasional Sapporo, is in a can,...and pretty tasty,... ::)
