If the enemy is behind cover and there location has been compromised, what does this offer that a mortar or 40mm grenade doesn't, other than a more convenient on hand option? Doesn't seem to change the rules, but it does give the bad guys less time to patty cake around. With drawl or push forward, response to their cover is quicker now.
That's assuming that thousands of these will be fielded and on hand in every engagement.
Personally, is see advanced technology as redundant points of failure on any system. If fancy gizmos and all make something more effective and easier, then I'm all for it, but if a system is built on tech, have a contingency for its failure and be prepare to live with out it. That goes for just about any thing, not just guns and weapons.
