I'll address this to Pathfinder because he says he picked up his LCP but anyone else can answer (sorry if it has been posted but I have been unable to do much at the computer for a while).  I know what the SRP is but what did you actually pay and is there much variation around the country?

I'm also going to add...how does it shoot compared to the kel-tec?

I paid $299 + tax for mine in Tulsa.  A little higher than some others but, got to support the locals!!

We all know Mr.Bane is biased...LOL Ruger is a sponsor...HeHeHe.
Seriously, the sk*y also looked impressive, but left a lot to be desired....

For you guys that actually own this LCP, How does it perform......

OK, new gripe.

I have checked the store, no spare mags. Online from Ruger these little 6-rounders are $27.00 - each! Ouch?

I wonder if the mass quantities of pre-loaded mags that MB talked about when he went shooting at Ruger might be available - used for a little (no, a lot) less?

I have one of the few LCPs in North LA. I'll make a few comments/observations...

-The magazines are made by Meggar in Italy and are IDENTICAL to the Kel-Tec's other than the base pads. The Ruger's sit up higher.
-You can run P3AT magazines in the LCP perfectly.
-LCP mags do not seat in the P3AT due to the base pads preventing it.
-You can use the finger extensions used on Bersa's and Kel-Tecs's, but there will be a slight gap.
-The magazines are sold locally near me for $21, so I'm sure they can be had for much less than the near $30 people are worried about.
-I also own a P3AT and even though the LCP is a "clone" it is a far superior clone. The ergonomics, quality, action, etc are all better.
-The slide stop is pretty useless and you will need to re-rack on a reload anyway. It only helps if you want to hand feed a round into the chamber.
-You can swap takedown pins with the P3AT it is so similar.

Things I would like to see
-Smoother feed ramp
-Hard chromed version
-Pinky extension designed for the LCP
-Painted front sight

Mine came in today - I ordered it on March 10th.  They test fired it just last Friday (3/28) so they are shipping as fast as they make them!!
