I have had my LCP for about 3 weeks.  Purchased it at local dealer for $299.  I have run 100 rounds of PMC FMJ through it and 350 rounds of WWB flat nose fmj.  And 12 rounds of CorBon DPX and 6 rounds of Winchesters new defensive ammo.  It seems somewhat prone to have FTF with the round nose stuff (perhaps 2 every 100 rounds) and 2-3 rounds of the WWB had a FTF.  These all occurred in the middle of the mag (not the first, not the last round).  They all seemed to hang the rim int the base of the cartridge hung up on the mag lips.  It seems to be getting fewer and fewer hang ups as I put more through it. 

I will tell you that shooting 200 rounds in a short period of time will take its toll on your hand/wrist.  After 75-100 rounds my hand starts trembling.  I think I want to put another 200 rounds of the WWB flat nose through it and then some more carry ammo before I will consider it ready for carry. 

I have seen no unusual wear or other indications of issues on the weapon. 

Improvements I would like to see or make:
Grips - they are too smooth.  May put some grip tape on them.
Sights - Need some white or orange paint on the front sight, it disappears to easily. 
Mags - sure would be nice to have a second one in the box. 

That is just my 2 cents worth, your mileage may vary.

I got to hold one and play around with it the last few days at the NRA show. I can't wait until I get mine so I can put some rounds through it. But I did tell them that I thought that it needed an orange sight on it. I will add it on mine.
Found some nice CC purses too..

I also picked out a couple more little fun guns that I will have to have..

I've had my LCP for a month now, and after adding a hogue jr grip and painting the sights...(i used orange fingernail polish i picked up at the grocery store, and after a few coats, its lasted quite well - even coming in and out of the holster)
This is a GREAT pistol and I find myself carrying it more than any of my larger ones, which means I'll be more likely to have it should I need it....which of course is worth its weight in gold. The Hogue grip made more of an impact than I ever thought it would, the vibration and shock diminished significantly and as a result the accuracy improved as well. I've thrown just about every type of decent hollow point through it without so much as a glitch - and managed to track down the grip extensions for my extra mags on ebay, however when out and about I use the one without them...it just has a smaller profile and literally disappears in the small of my back. I also purchased one of the small "pocket" holsters, and was blown away at how well it did the job. I could literally slip it in the front pocket of a pair of jeans and it was completely invisible. Again...another bonus. At 15 yards I was able to group within a 4 inch diameter once the additions to the weapon were made. Prior to that it was somewhat pathetic and the lead went all over the place. I have about 600 rounds through it now without so much as a single jam. Anda 380 is better than a 9mm or 40 thats sitting at home on the dresser any day. So - advice to those of you out there considering an LCP - get one and then spend a few extra bucks on a few additions and you wont be sorry. You will end up taking it with you everywhere.

By "Brand X" are you referring to Kel Tec?

I didn't hear anything about a mag extension (like Pierce for Glocks). Just to get your pinky on the gun.

I emailed Ruger Customer Service and was told that they are not going to make a magazine extension ion or higher capacity magazine of any sort.  They advised me that the purpose of the LCP was to be small and fit in a pocket.  I had been told that Kel-Tec has a 10 round magazine in the works so I asked if Ruger was following them.  I'd buy either the Ruger or Kel-Tec with a 10 round magazine.  Between the magazine and warranty I am starting to lean more to Kel-Tec.

What's the problem with Ruger? My name has been on my gun shop list for 3 months for the LCP. And the cost is $319.00 plus tax and $5.00 FDLE fee, if and when it ever comes in. WHAT A RIP OFF. Going to tell them to forget it.
