For all of you who have wished me ill, I have good news.

My freaking A/C died. I thought it just need new coolant, but no dice. By the time the repair costs for re-insulating, finding a leak and fixing the condensor were totaled I was looking at around $2k on an 11 year old unit that could break the day after they fixed it. So I bit the bullet and bought a new one. I am now out $4500 that I really don't have. Upside is that I bought a Trane and it should be good for a decade at least, and the A/C compancy is family owned and has been in business for fifty years. So I have no doubts that I'm getting a good product and a solid company. I also getabout $900 in utility rebates and tax credits. Still a kick in the balls though.

Oh well, it could be worse. I could be Bin Laden.
